Being too obliging in China is inviting use and abuse. You're asking to be taken a loan of, and you will be, no doubt about it!

Saying that cheat, deception and unprofessional mismanagement is due to cultural differences and you should deal with it in tolerance and even take all the BS without peaking up, means to say the following two things by logical interference:

1. Deception, cheat etc. are essential parts of Chinese culture.
2. Accept cheat, deception etc. on the part your employer when it happens and don't go against.

Comment:
And both assumptions are two totally invalid points, for obvious reasons , I guess!
Talk like that is rubbish and comes from TC lackeys, their bosses and all grovelling weasels!

Unfortunately, I have met teachers that appear to be so desperate to stay in a job that they do accept being cheating and messed around with. One has to wonder why they want to keep such bad jobs? I swear down that some goody two-shoes types are just running away from their crimes back at home.

However deception is arguably an essential part of Chinese culture, but there's a way to do it correctly I think. You don't quite have to sell your soul.
