There are many uni's in China however that are nothing but a joke: All students just get passed at some universities, even if they failed their tests. I have had personal experience of this. I failed several students, later I found out they had passed. The admin staff tasked with data entry had changed their scores.
As for qualifications, yep, most FT's don't have a teaching degree. Why would a real teacher from UK or Australia want to teach at some rubbish Chinese school? FT's learn how to teach by experience, teaching degree or not.

Thanks for posting this. It's incredible how many FTs in China don't know that this goes on here. China is a vast country with many higher educational institutions that are a joke and therefore do not deserve real teachers.
