SCHOOLS AND RECRUITERS REVIEWS

I have been in China for 5 years and in that time I have used The China Teaching Network to get me my jobs. I have always found them to be more than efficient in their work. It bemuses me how some people have encountered such difficulties. To go and accuse the company of being a scam is complete and utter nonsense. For goodness sake, the place is a REGISTERED business in China. Unlike heaps of other places here that are "fly by night" companies out to screw people for a quick buck.
The company sends an employment package to YOU prospective teachers which YOU can accept or turn down. They are not pushing schools on you. The schools make the decision whether they want you, NOT the recruiter. The schools take their time to consider you, so if you are waiting for a long time for a reply, it is the school making THEIR decision.
I worked for a recruitment company for 5 months last year (NOT The China Teaching Network). It was in Zhejiang and Chinese-run. It was not a good place as they would use foreign teachers for their own benefit. They were a "base school" company, like a lot of other companies operating these days. In comparison, I would say TCTN would have to be one of the most professional companies operating in China.
The company has a base in Wuhan, where a person called John manages. There are many other foreigners in the company who operate here in China or in other countries. I don't know them but there was a guy called Michael, who I think is in Tianjin now, who is one of the most competent, genuine nice guys you could meet. When I went back home to Australia last year, I attended one of his seminars, and I can tell you there is definitely nothing "SCAM" about this company. I suggest you go to one of these seminars and see for yourself.
