Good question. Even as a foreigner, you may know a lot but not necessarily understand. These are two different pairs of shoes.Certain Chinese people may know a lot too but are not able to understand and explain. Some posters on here describe ordinary Chinese people as mainly money-grabbing and otherwise rather brainless. Not all of them are but I have found that to be true in many cases. In comparison to Taiwan and Korea, the Chinese in Mainland China unfortunately have lost many good traits of their ancient culture due to significant events in their more recent history like the so-called "Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution". Being rather brainless means being politically correct in Mainland China these days. If not, they might ask too many questions, and that could be quite risky as you will well know.
All I know, Turnoi, and I'm just an undertaker's assistant(with fake degrees) by trade, is that in many many ways there's a lot more freedom in China than there is in The Disunited Kingdom. For example, you can strut up and down the pavement with a sword in China- do you recall showing us that nice photo of yourself sporting a sword...you were not arrested were you- or shot by the armed police by mistake? You try and emulate that in Blighty! You can walk the busy town streets in China with very little chance of being attacked by drunks...Or you can be a young lady(12 years old) in China and you are unlikely to be groomed by predatory male groups-passed around from one to the other and encouraged to take drugs. Whereas in The UK that sort of fate is quite common. Now, I don't have your fancy education, Turnoi, but I knows what I knows. Am I right or am I right?
