I finally left this school at the end of September. But not with my finally months payment, airfare, and bonus.
I was told that the school would pay me my last month wages in October and my bonus and airfare in December.
When I was paid on September 15th I was only paid half of my wages and I had to ask the owner everyday of my last week for the rest. He finally paid me the other half on my last day of work.
In July and August I was paid a month late. The owner told me the reason I was paid a month late in August whas that I went to the labor board.
In June I asked the school when my last day of work would be so that I could start looking for a new school to teach at after my contract.
The school told me that my contract was over on September 3rd, but would not let me see the contract.
Then with just a few days left for the end of August. The school told me they made a mistake and my contract would be over on October 2nd. They just told me that a contract is for one year. Since I started on October 3rd and they told me that my contract would be over on October 2nd 2006.
My contract that I send the school was from September 3rd. But the owner didn't sign the contract.
On the last day I finally got the school to show me the school's contract and it was not even signed my the owner and the date of teh contract was September 2nd 2005.
I was talking to the Korean teacher and he was helping the owner with a new foreign teacher. The Korean told the new teacher that he was only late a couple of times on his wages. But no longer that two weeks. That is a lie because he was paid a month late several time. One time to talked all Korean teachers into going on strike.
Sometimes they will have someone tell you they are from another country so you thinking you are talking to a Native Speaker.

Make sure you talk to a Native Teacher before going to a school in Korea.
