An English teacher in China - 2006-10-11

Im guessing David has had a pretty stressful time of it all just lately, as I find his article difficult to follow. Is anybody else having the same problem with his article?

David obviously feels aggrieved, but whom exactly is he aggrieved with? Is it the International Office, that is, the international office for the educational institution he has been hired by, or the educational institute itself? If the international office has given out some dubious information, was it not possible for the facts to be checked by another party, before such drastic action was taken? Are we to believe that David has been travelling to and fro from his home country by his own expense purely on the say so of this office?

Many foreign teachers have had similar visa problems when arriving at the college Im currently working for. Most of the foreign teachers are sent by a notorious employment agency, but are sent with the wrong class of visa. All have had to make a quick trip to Macao to be issued with the appropriate Z class visa. Its been inconvenient for all, but all have met with success in this venture. Some provinces in China allow a tourist visa to be changed into a Z class visa some provinces do not.

I hope if David continues to be an educator, he can write a little better English than hes doing at present, and think about providing more useful information if his intention is to warn other people about the follies of the educational institution he has encountered.

The rest of his article I cannot follow.
