Hello, I thought I would give a review so that Korea does not look so bad. I work for the Public school
system. I have a degree and TSL certificate but have never taught before. The teachers at my school are pretty nice. I have some great Korean friends, not to say everyone is wonderful but not everyone is wonderful at home. The best part of my contract is that I get six weeks vacation and last year my friend in the program got 8. I get paid 2,200,000 a month and get paid overtime for extra classes and camps. I teach 23 classes and get overtime for four. The Office of Education sends me to developmental workshops that are paid with great food and great speakers. It is a good job.
It is not perfect, they have been late with my pay a few days and my apartment is nothing special. Be aware also that Koreans drive very unsafely and everything is done at the last minute.
