SCHOOLS AND RECRUITERS REVIEWS

Ok, So I have been to some good schools and posted on here and a couple of bad ones (the kids section of NDI Wuhan for example)
unfortunately here is another bad one.

Firstly I would like to say that their material is quite good really. flash cards are in a bad state of repair and the A1 sheets that you put on the bored could do with being replaced, but the theory behind the educational part is good (some of the best I have seen in china).

So I start the contract and am told they cannot get me a visa (just before mine ran out) so I fly to HK and get my own visa.. I didnt get any compensation for that.
They also fined me for not being at work during that time.
the housing allowance is not enough to rent a 1 bed apartment any where near work (which is common place in china I know).

You get ZERO holiday or sick days (no insurance either),

I then tell them I will have to break down to part time so I can get a proper Z visa, they declined and said if I did this their school would go bust and 3 years of trying to build it up would be destroyed by me (guilt tripped into it), So I continued to work on a spouse visa.

Our relationship got bad when they started to increase the amount of kids in my classes from 8-9 to 16 (not enough chairs in the classrooms), that every demo class I did was free but if i failed to do the demo class I would be fined.

At the very end of the contract they decided I should not get my air fare money, they also withheld 4000 rmb for fines etc etc.
Now from all the extra work I did for that school to be fined and have the airfare withheld is just a kick in the teeth.

Robert (a guy who also works there part time (2 lessons a week) when they have more classes than teachers) had his wife working at the school and the school canceled her contract with no notice and no penalty compensation paid.

David, the teacher who was going to replace me came in and signed a contract, then the school decided to employ an American women instead and failed to tell him, I was the one who had to inform him that after waiting for 6 weeks for his contract to start, he was in fact unemployed.

Be warned, you can work there if you have to, but dont expect them to conform to any part of the contract however should you deviate from it at all, it will be brought up and a signed contract will be thrust in front of your face.

They essentially want full time teachers on full time wages but no benefits of being a full time teacher.

I have read before that kid castle in Xian was bad, I took a chance on this school as there were no reviews.. I wish I didnt and wish I had left before when I had better job offer's.
I plan to leave china some time this year or early next year but this has set back that plan a little (lost too much money on it).
