Simply stating that they are 'using drugs' is rather vague to say the least! Calling them 'druggies' out of the blue is rather uncalled for, too.

Which drugs? Are they just smoking a bit poor quality Chinese weed or are they full-blown meth fiends (ice is ridiculously popular in China, unfortunately) or are they constantly falling down a K-hole? (also far too popular, I'm sorry to say).

Always be careful about condemning people for using drugs if you have zero experience of them yourself, you may easily and deservedly become the subject of ridicule due to that there are probably quite a few people out there who use drugs recreationally, that have achieved far more than you ever have. So, don't even bother trying to take the moral high ground.

Despite this, I personally recommend people avoid using drugs in China, due to the cultural differences rather than just the law itself. I get the impression that 'just a bit of weed' in most places in China, is more than 'just a bit of weed'. As a western drug, it is a symbol of painful historic events, where the country was humiliated due to their appetite for opium, and willingness of the British to cater for this level of demand.

As for regretamine/ketamine, I can't help but think there are a lot of Fuerdai types out there that will end up having to wear a pissbag for the rest of their lives, as for ice/meth, f**k that, lol.

Also, I find most of the foreigners that use drugs regularly in China to be a bit cringeworthy, they get overly excited about smoking a spliff or two, just because they have finished uni and mummy and daddy aren't looking.
