I think a lot of people think this about public university jobs: less money.

What they forget to think about is: Less working hours, less bullshit, less interference, less chance of getting screwed over, a regular schedule, weekends, having a life...

Also, a university salary isn't that bad, if you aren't a dick when it comes to spending money. Those that want to spend it all in central downtown bars and clubs... Why didn't you just get a job in a western city?
