FEB is the Foreign Experts' Bureau. In my experience, they are rather unhelpful and tend to side with the employers.

As for the ropey treatment you've endured at the hands of your employer, I'd say it constituted constructive dismissal. Probably, they took a dislike to you there! Perhaps you rubbed them up the wrong way? Or they got a bad first impression of you after meeting you in person!
