That is a good example of how a public school/uni should look after FTs who are working at their institutions for more than one year.

My uni also provides all of the things you mentioned, although we get our airfare paid as a lump sum at the end of the year (regardless of whether we leave or not). In addition the univeristy allows FTs to remain within it's housing during the summer months and pays a bonus to any teacher resigning their contract which helps with any cash flow issues that might arise. I know from talking to friends at other institutions that this bonus is sometimes called a 'travel allowance'. Prospective teachers would do well to ask about these kind of things before committing to a long term contract.
