Best we as foreign teachers keep our noses out of how the Chinese market themselves and concentrate on the teaching we are hired to do in Asia.
Wrong, wrong, wrong! If these bad business practices were not symptomatic for an entire system - that of ESL in China as a whole, I would also suggest the same as you do. But since it is the other way round, any foreign teacher would be well advised to check carefully before working for anyone in China.
Your "advice" is misleading people in accepting all the bullshit the Chinese ESl has to offer. You are either naive or have a hidden agenda in favour of crappy business practices in China.

Since when is lying and misleading clients and employees on purpose a decent business practice?

Fu....k ESL in China!!!

I have worked in businesses where marketing and direct sales work is an important thing, we might over-hype our products and services slightly, but we don't just blatantly lie like some Chinese businesses do!

Lying might result in some short term gains, but it can damage your reputation in the long term and even result in legal issues that can destroy your company, even in China.
