Qingdao is ok, at least for China, although I did find the traffic to be crowded in the downtown areas and the pollution could be seen and smelt at times. Even a local woman of korean minority descent who lived there told me that....driving somewhere near the harbour/port it could be smelt through the cars a/c system.

Good beer and seafood in Qingdao though, about the rest of Shandong all I can say is it was very grey and hazy like Hebei province.
