I did not know Green Day, googled it with Working Class Hero and found the youtube video below.
I was expecting something real bad, mostly that nobody in the whole world can replace John Lennon, for me, in a John Lennon song. But otherwise, you know John, it is not bad at all: The singer has a good voice. The guitar of the second half is excellent. They don't pretend to be more than they are. And they are sending a message that does not leave indifferent. Overall, a rewarding experience.
