Chinese managers think they can throw any shit at us and that we will quietly put up with it, they are wrong.

Personal e.g. 16:00, phone rings, during my rest day, while I'm shopping for veggies at the wet market, I'm in T-shirt, shorts and sneakers:

Me: Hello?
Rep: We have meeting with Head at 16:30!
Me: I'm in the city (Guangzhou, not your third tier city, MASSIVE city)! I need to go home, shower, maybe shave, get dressed for the School, 2 hours minimum. The best I can do is meet you at the School at 18:00.
Rep: Ooh, that's too late. Come to School at 16:15!
Me: *I then repeat all above again, and then suggest that we can meet tomorrow*
Rep: Head won't be too happy!
Me: OK (understand: I don't care)! See you tomorrow 8:00 in the morning! Cheers!
Rep: But you must com...
*click*

Next day 8am, show up, learn that meeting has been canceled as Head (not me) didn't show up.
