EXACTLY right. I would often disregard the textbook given me at most public jobs, it was next to useless. Instead I would set up real world roleplays. a job interview, ordering from a restaurant menu, meeting and greeting and so on. Bloody pointless for us to teach grammar when the chinese teachers can probably teach it better than us anyway....I'd rather just do 16 classes of conversational english a week and enjoy my free time with minimal lesson planning. ESL in China is not a career; LG does not half make me laugh.
