In response to Re: a dissection (Concerned Teacher)

So now it's the PGCE and not the DELTA that you have an issue with, CT? I'll leave your good chum Turnoi to correct you about that one, seeing as he's the one who extolled the virtues of attaining a PGCE, I just happened to agree with him about it's superiority over the 4 week tefl cert!

Of course experience is good. But so is good training. One does not begin experienced, but you can begin well trained.

Bragging that you teach 16 lessons per week from one lesson plan about Mr Bean (worksheet included!!), does not help to quash the inferior teacher belief, I'm afraid. It just makes you look lazy.

Still haven't expressed any feminist views, but keep clinging to that (supposed) insult.

What's Saudi Arabia got to do with anything? I wouldn't go there because I'm not a fan of very hot countries, the summer heat in Spain is too much sometimes. Irrespective of that, it doesn't matter what country you're in, the core principles of English language teaching remain the same. All that changes is your observance of local culture. And yes, I would miss wine, much as I'm sure most western people would.miss alcohol. What's your point?!
