I would rather a teacher had a DELTA than didn't.

I don't agree...it only further encourages the crappy corporate training centres, and the smug examiners who offer these "certificates". Having a real degree in English, ESL experience, is far better. Look, I know a guy who has a degree in biology, and a CELTA....do you think he is qualified to teach english?
