Yes, hungover does not mean drunk, as long as you can teach well. If a FT is too unwell from a hangover, HE or SHE should call in sick,simples.

If you are hungover, you cannot teach as well as if you were well rested, you cannot perform any task whilst hungover as well as when you are well rested. Ergo, teaching whilst hungover is an example of your free time negatively impacting your teaching. Calling in sick because you have drunk too much is another example of free time negatively impacting your teaching. Simples.

And btw, I don't smoke, I gave up quite some time ago now. Not that whether I smoke or not has anything to do with anything being discussed on this board!

And I don't overlook others faults, I have called others out when I disagree with something they say. Nobody else has said teaching whilst drunk/hungover is acceptable. Nobody else has said doing the bare minimum for their classes is their ethos. Nobody else has said teaching 16 different classes on one lesson plan is acceptable. When they do I'll call them a lazy tourist-teacher too.
