I was hired at this school in 2009. I was told to come on a certain visa. Upon my arrival a man picked me up and drove me to the school. I met a teacher who they fired within two days of my arrival. They made him write a letter saying he was not a good teacher I found out. He was a bit strange having come from Shenzhen and only taught once to little children. in a few months I had found out I do not work for the school but for the Rich Chinese man who profits off getting teachers to teach the very rich kids who pay big money to go to this high school and get into an American university.

I found the books I used were written by Chinese and had many mistakes and the teacher's book was different from the student's book. Actually, I found the school quite charming and very pretty. Yes, I had a small room but is was nice. I ate at the kitchen and like any middle-high school the food is never the quality of a five star hotel but you have the option of eating better food at the cafeteria where the children eat or eating off campus. I did find out that a girl who worked for this Chinese man named "Sunny" who was Chinese was his secretary and tried to teach in my class. she was terrible and she had a very bad attitude as well and would boss me and the next teachers to come along.

I had to go to Hong Kong which would have been a pleasure but they sent me on an old train (before the bullet trains) without a bed and I was up all night sitting on a wooden bench for 17 1/2 hours. It was terrible .I got my visa and later got my resident permit. After six months the rich Chinese man said for me to leave and I got very mad and told him I had a year contract. They next hire more teachers as I got in a big fight with Sunny, Grace and a new assistant named Emily who was a Chinese university student. They hire me back but, then let the other teachers take my place and let me teach to the poor students who were nice but their English was next to none. Grace later did not talk to me and I did so much for the school and my rich students all or most of them went to American universities. some of the Chinese teachers were very good and my friends but one "bad apple" can spoil the whole bunch.
