Hi, I do not speak on behalf of all ABIE schools as everyone knows that most chains of ESL schools vary from one another depending on the owner and management in a certain city or province. I worked for ABIE Zhejiang and Now I'm working as the Director of Studies. The experience as a teacher has been great and compared to Shane, EF, Aston schools ABIE is definitely a much better choice.

There were some minor issues when i first joined but that is no surprise as the schools are fairly new and many ABIE franchises have not had a long experience working with foreigners. As the DOS of Zhejiang schools I have made many changes to the structure and curriculum and my teachers are enjoying a much more relaxed and well balanced schedule with better salary package compared to other competitors. There were no issues with the contract or breach in any terms. The school offers many benefits such as bonuses during the course of your contract including housing and flight allowance. Of course you as an individual have to go through the contract and details with the school manager/DOS prior to signing to avoid any issues.

ABIE curriculum is very focused on phonics and TPR style teaching. Though i have added new courses that benefits the kids in more ways than the totally phonics based courses I'm pretty sure that your experience will still be good as mine in the beginning of my joining.

Every school has it's issues and depending on your own abilities you can change or solve such issues. Some schools that are rated the best in the world are still blacklisted in other cities. Moaning and assuming every school is the same isn't going to get anyone anywhere. Negative reviews should be addressed to the specific school only.
