Teaching IELTS based Foundation Programme to University students who are articulating into Australian Universities, which includes Study Skills and Australian Culture. ~25 hours per week contact teaching time plus prep. Includes fully furnished apartment and other benefits.

Applicants MUST be native English speakers, hold a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and preferably have CELTA/TEFOL qualifications. IELTS experience is highly regarded.

This is an existing programme with additional Australian teachers on site and supportive international facility staff.

I worked for this "Institute" in the past, and while they never cheated me on salary payments, the working conditions, and "cooperation" from staff leave much to be desired.

The school is far from the center of HeFei, in what looks like a bombed-out war zone; an area under complete construction transformation. Noisy, filthy, dusty, and often experiencing power and water outages.

The classrooms are either quite hot, or freezing cold; and the bathrooms are filthy and deplorable. All this might be tolerable until you discover that the teaching building was constructed in 2004! The school has one, sole owner, who keeps a limo waiting outside his plush office (complete with western-style toilet and other amenities) whenever he needs to make a fast departure from the campus.

The foreign teacher is given a high volume of students whose parents have paid huge sums of money for you classes, in order to continue toward study at a university in Australia. Many of the students are wonderful, but a great many are also lazy and apathetic -- just biding their time until they can get themselves to Australia.

Two months before I arrived at the school, I learned that students pelted the owner's office with stones. They had demanded partial refunds because of the terrible dormitory conditions he had provided them.

Most of the studennts will tell you feel unhappy at this school and that they were deceived by the owner and the program's promoters.

BEWARE!
