I worked in Dubai from 1978 until 2004 with a couple of breaks in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Dubai has always been a "good" place for Western expatriates to live and work. If the money is ok and the terms and conditions are ok, then take the job fast, before they change their mind. Check with your Country's Dubai Embassy, Consulate, or High Commission as to whether the establishment you are under offer from is reputable and if you are still happy - then my advice is GO!
