Well it is bit of hard time they are giving to the Filipinos here and other parts of Asia. I dont know what you have read about "Beware Filipinos" but I can say, I am a filipino and working here. You can experience that when school called you and knew you are Filipino they just going to hang up the phone at once without taking consideration of your degree or experience in teaching. What they want here is Blonde hair and blue eyes idiots and stupid accents people. with no degree at all. Well, why? First, some of these chinese are looking for a way out here in china by going abroad, the solution is to marry an old idiot man. second,
they can earn more bridging to a school if you are blond hair and blue eyes. Thats why if you can see the level of the students really different. My experience here was different. I got license and acknowledge by the government. and really I made a lot of struggles to prove filipino way of teaching english.. but let me tell you, my students getting exams with good grade like 150 pts. they get 149. and besides that
wherever they go to compete they win. So, dont give up. try more. But dont ever forget serving the students in our country is better far from here. Life is lonely here.. I really missed home. talk to me... ailan
