I too was a victim of so called Paula Torres{daughter in Atlanta Georgia}, Alex Lutter{family friend in Toronto who loaned the money| and Charity Torres{ mother in Ireland} who's granma died in the middle of all these commotion. I fell for all scenarios , I lost $2500.00 plus 72 dollars service charge by Western Union. After I send the 2500, they have the nerve to ask for more remaining money leaving me only less than the 1 month rent agreed upon... that's when the alarm bell went on but it's too late I already sent the 2500 to Atlanta... Everthing is exactly the same word for word on the emails, just changing the names. I will try to go RCMP today and file a complaint I just hope they can help & catch these people. I learned my lesson the hard way, all these happen just last Tuesday Dec.16,2008 when I sent the money thru western union. Iam not aware of these scam until I told my daughter and she googled this site, that's when I KNEW I GOT SCAMMED. The cheque for $4490 has not come back yet from the bank but for sure it will be by next week....there goes my christmas presents for everbody or my vacation money for the coming new year.
