This is evidently a scam!
The most recent variant I came across is that someone sent a "certified cheque" over 18,000 GBP (Pound Sterling) and failed to provide a physical address at the same time. I suspect that this "certified cheque" is a forgery; I won`t trust it at all, and therefore there was no attempt to cash it.
