I received a counterfeit cheque from him (for Caroline Godina) last spring and the bank forwarded it to the police rather than returnng it to me as they do with NSF cheques.

I, too, was told that no fraud had yet been committed when I called the police. They told me to deposit the overpayment but not refund any money.

The cheque showed no bank branch address. The telephone number for the company shown was an automated machine and the signature name was not on the company listings of phone numbers.

The police also advised me to telephone language schools to confirm registration of students before returning their emails.
