You need a degree to get the good university jobs, otherwise without a degree you need at least two years teaching experience, some universities want five, but obviously that's only an option for long-term FT's who were in China before degrees were required.

Many universities require a degree ( any sort of BA will suffice ) AND two years experience these days.

Beware of any school or recruiter that is offering jobs to applicants with no degree or experience, nearly ALL public teaching jobs require a degree now.

If you hear about any jobs "no experience required" it is likely to be a scam. There are people who work at training centres in China on L visas, but this is illegal, and you have no rights and no legal recourse if you pursue this option. It's only desperate people who can't get a job in their own countries who would consider working illegally in China.
