This graduate degree program provides students the knowledge of systems theory and various instructional development models serving as their framework in creating and developing solutions to identified challenges in teaching English to speakers of other languages. The thesis work shall be applied research on instructional tools in regard specific application to TESOL.
Graduates of the program are prepared to work in a variety of positions in education, such as instructional designer, curriculum developer, trainer, TESOL teacher with international competence.
This program is delivered by blended or alternative modes of independent study, online one-to-one with tutors, and face-to-face academic activities. Four occasions of 7-day face-to-face sessions are required to complete the program. They are timed in on school break and Christmas vacation.
Southeast Asia Interdisciplinary Development Institute (SAIDI) is the degree granting institution approved by the Commission on Higher Education.
