Posters saying you need a degree to work in China are wrong. I dont have a degree and I have worked here legally for many years

If you have a T.E.F.L cert then you can work here legally.

However an interesting point to consider is; if you plan to work in China on the back of your degree WITHOUT a T.E.F.L cert THEN your degree must
have been issued at least two years ago. That is to say if you are straight out of college without a T.E.F.L cert then you won't be giving a work permit.

In saying all that schools prefer degree holders. sp be prepared.
