I have been a teacher of English as a foreign language for 5 years and now I also do some research work concerning teaching idioms and phrasal verbs to students. It would be great if you could tell me where I can find information concerning the percentage of idioms and phrasal verbs in English. And also what is the appropriate amount of idioms and phrasal verbs to teach students during the ESL classes? I would really appreciate any information of this kind!!!
