On top of that, HK is polluted and elitist, you will not find a GF there either if you don't have money.

Polluted? Yeah, I guess it is. It doesn't help all the residue from Dongguan, Guangzhou and Shenzhen wafts it's way down to there. Elitist? Hell Yes! Most foreigners already living there will ignore you out of snootiness, and the local HK Chinese are much more snobby than even wealthy mainland chinese, and that is saying a lot!

As for a GF, it might be doable, although I'm inclined to agree with Silverboy, that money talks there. It might be possible to find a girl who is considered ugly and insecure about herself, but do you really want to aim low?

I'd say it might be better to head over to one of the cities in Guangdong and find yourself a gig in a nicer quieter place (Not GZ/DG/SZ!)
