@ Turnoi, I agree completely, HK would be a great place to live vis a vis the mainland.

The problem is the OP is talking about teaching there. I'm not so sure it would be a great place to live and work as an FT, from what I've heard and read. And yes even the PNET/SNET scheme seems like a big scam where you get farmed out, on trains all over the place, for what in HK isn't really that great money.
