Have you done the DELTA course? Can you please help me decide if it is the one for me? :)

Hello, there!

I am considering whether to take the DELTA course in about a year's time. However, I have done some research on the kind of candidates that they normally look for and I am not so sure about how ready I am any more!

I have a 5 years degree in English Studies, the PCE (I am not native) and the CELTA. I have about 15 years of teaching experience, which includes: tones of private lessons to friends, family and strangers; 3 highly intensive summer courses; and 2 years of solid teaching in a language school.

I have read in few websites quite different sorts of info; that you need 1 year experience only, or 3 years within 5 years of teaching, or no experience at all .... I think it is all a bit confusing ... Kind of the same happens with the fees which, after a while, I found out were about 2000 - 2500 pounds?

I was wondering if there is someone out there with this qualification who could tell me about their experience, how they knew it was the right course for them, was it really useful. Do you recommend somewhere in particular? I am open to travel anywhere, really.

Thanking you in advance,

Vics.
