Your comments about your brief experience with CELTA are quite disturbing.

"I was appalled to hear them promoting the certificate as equivalent to a university degree. Who are they kidding? In countries where university graduation is required to teach English, CELTA will NOT protect anyone from deportation. It's just another ESL certificate, like the others."

On the Cambridge ESOL website there is no evidence that there are any claims that CELTA equates to a degree. It doesn't, and I have have written on here before about the level of the qualification. On the website they make it quite clear what the course involves and where it stands as a qualification. Did you read the details on the website before applying? And if you already have a TEFL certificate, why would you want to do another course?

Perhaps you could name the provider so that others will be infomed of these spurious claims. I'm certain that Cambridge ESOL would like to know of any accredited centre that treats their trainees in such a way. They will investigate, so if you comments are true, it is important that this is taken further.
