TEFL Scams (Resources)

There are, unfortunately, scams out there. A few simple rules make sure that you are not a victim:

1. Never pay a single penny to anyone to find you work. If they ask for a "special" fee to process your visa or paperwork, walk away. If they ask for a placement fee, walk away. If they ask for money from you upfront, walk away. It's as simple as that.

2. Don't believe the hype about accreditation and acceptance for TEFL certificates. Check them out thoroughly!!

3. Make sure your boss is paying your tax and health payments. If they are being deducted from your salary, make sure they are being paid!
