TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA (CELTA vs TESOL)

I need some honest information from current ESL teachers. Last year I went to China for a month to teach English. The program I went with only asked that you have a BS or BA. I've been back a year and have decided that eventually I do want to get a masters and begin a career in counseling, but right now I'd rather travel while I'm young and not tied down. The best way to do this and actually make a profit (as going to China actually ended up costing me much more money than I made) is to get certified to teach ESL. I'm currently doing online research to find an in-class program where I can get certified but before I get really deep into that I want to hear some opinions on what certification I should go for. I had been thinking TESOL but now I'm just experiencing a bit of an information overload! In your opinion which certification best prepares one for an career in teaching ESL, TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA? Furthermore, I'd love to hear suggestions for high-quality, accredited schools which offer in-class certification. If you can give me websites and information such as locations and prices that would be most helpful. Thank you for any help you can give me.
