You're exactly where I was, last year. To answer your question: yes, it will take up most of your time. Secondly - it's very tricky to get a working visa in Berlin. I'm not sure about other cities, but Berlin is one of the most difficult places to find a job as an ESL teacher, simply put there are just too many of us here. Looking back, would I have done the course all over again? Probably not.
