English is not my native language but I have been living in an English speaking country for many years and I have a native-speaker level of English. I am thinking of undertaking the CELTA course to teach English to foreigners, but also to teach my native language to English speakers.
I'd like to know if CELTA-trained non native speakers of English can have difficulty finding work? Is there a perception out there that 'only native speakers need apply' to English teaching positions? Other question: is anyone on this forum using CELTA for teaching a language other than English?
