I just started researching teaching English as a second language. I have no teaching qualifications, but I do have a some college training. I have studied in the medical field, both as a paramedic and as a medical coder. I will be taking my medical coder CPC exam in March. In time I would like to move to Latin America for retirement. I know I will need a part time job to help pay the bills. I think this might be the answer I have been looking for to help me move. I'm unsure of the requirements. Do I have to be a certified teacher, or will the TESOL be considered the same qualification? Plus, any other information to help get me started in the right direction.
