TESOL, TEFL and CELTA forum

Hi everyone,
I wonder if someone could advise me on something. I'm a CELTA trained and experienced teacher, and my friend would like to do a CELTA and teach this coming summer. I paid for my CELTA and then found work, but was told by other teachers in my first school that their CELTA was paid for because they agreed to teach in the school following completion of the course.
I've had a look online, but I can't find much information about this. I noticed that some schools offer you part of your money back if you sign a one year contract with the school.
Does anyone know of any schools where this is offered? And is there always a one year minimum commitment?
Thanks everyone. I hope someone can help with this.
