I am a teacher with my teacher's certificate, my BS, and my MA degrees in English. However, many states, with high percentages of the population being recent immigrants, require an additional certificate to teach speakers of another language.

Is the ICAL TESL/TEFL/TESOL certificate recognized by public schools in the US? For instance, several states in the US have requirements for teachers to obtain certificates to teach children who speak other languages (i.e. CA has the CLAD certificate requirement, AZ now has the SEI endorsement). Would states in the US such as CA and AZ recognize ICAL's TESL/TEFL/TESOL certificate as legitimate?
