I am studying Linguistics at York University.

I am currently conducting a research project into TEFL concentrating on "Suggestopedia" as a teaching method which is seemingly very effective and yet rarely used, at least in the UK.

As part of my project I would ideally like to hear from teachers of TEFL (or those who are very knowledgeable on the subject).

Is anyone or does anyone know a TEFL teacher who uses such a method or could tell me why the method is unappealing or impractical?

Any guidance in my project would be much appreciated!
