I am considering taking the on-line course from TEFL institute. If anyone has taken their on-line course I'd like to know a few things:

Did you gain actual teaching experience during your certification? Did you actively seek out a school or community organization that would allow you to teach or was it ONLY observation and assisting?

Was it difficult or easy to obtain a job after your certification? Where did you go? (I plan on teaching in Latin America)
