TESOL, TEFL and CELTA forum
Hello,
I am very confused about the best path for a TESOL certificate. I have a degree in education, hope to apply for a teaching license later this year, and would like to secure certification for teaching ESL.
Originally, I was leaning towards TEFL International, but I have read some negative things. I have shifted towards a university route, and everyone seems to point towards CETLA and Trinity College, both based in England.
Here are my questions:
1. Is CELTA only for adults?
2. Does TEFL International really deserve their negative reputation? The comments left on their website from former students appear completely partial and honest, and yet didn't seem to be too negative.
3. Would the best path by Trinity, or CELTA, or TEFL International?
Any help in answering these questions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
