Hi guys , why are TEFL jobs given only to native speakers as we all know that teaching english language as a second language is quite different than teaching it as a first language ...and if i have any experience ( 10 years) a non-native speakers has better ability to teach english as second language as they has gone through the grill themselves and are able to connect with the students in a better fashion. I did my TEFL certification after i completed my postgraduation in English Litreture and had almost 8 years of exp.in teaching english to come on the international circuit but now i find that all the jobs are for native speakers only?????? somebody explain.
