What certification is necessary? (TESOL)

Hi,
I currently hold a valid K-6 Professional Educators Certificate in FL and have a BA in Sociology. I would like to begin teaching English abroad. What certifications are necessary? Is an ESOL endorsement sufficient? Appreciate any help sorting this out!
