In my opinion the CELTA - whilst being a very good qualification - is extremely intense and very difficult if you have no teaching experience to help you out.

I would always recommend that you need at least two years experience teaching before you go for a CELTA. Otherwise you will spend your time struggling to learn the basics whilst the rest of the class move ahead.

It may be better to get a basic TEFL certificate, go off and teach for a couple of years in an entry level job and then if you decide to move on to a higher level job which requires the CELTA, take it then.
