We have graduates working in Italy on the basis of the ICAL cert. As in most countries it depends on the school and the job on offer. The ICAL cert is suitable for most entry level jobs - some schools will prefer the more advanced CELTA or an MA, however.

If you can you should write to the school to ask what kind of qualifications they require; or of course check out job adverts for similar kinds of positions to that which you want and see what their precise requirements are.

No single certificate will guarantee a job anywhere as each school decides what it wants in terms of qualifcations and teachers.
